The Parents Fund Drive Committee (PFD) for the Athens College – Psychico College Scholarship Fund is ushering in the new academic year with one of the most inspirational and tender musicals of all times, the blockbuster “Billy Elliot The Musical” by Lee Hall, directed by Dimitris Lignadis, original music by Elton John, at the Pallas Theater, in two unique musical performances:

on Saturday, October 17, 2015, 21:00 &on Sunday, October 18, 2015, 18:00.

This is the story of an eleven year old boy who wants to make his dreams come true at a time when society around him is collapsing as a result of the economic crisis.  It all starts in 1984 when the then Prime Minister of England, Margaret Thatcher, shuts down the mines and the miners begin an indefinite strike. Young Billy skips out on a boxing lesson and stumbles upon a ballet studio where he unexpectedly discovers his passion for dance, a passion that will electrify his family and the whole community and one that will change his life forever.

Starring: Aimilios Cheilakis, Athina Maximou, Apostolis Totsikas, Niki Pallikaraki, Giorgios Psychogios and Tititka Stasinopoulou, together with three talented boys who will delight the audience with their portrayal of Billy Elliot.  The second child role is played by one of our School’s students.
