Team Greece wins the Eurasian Schools Debating Championship 2025
On January 18-20, 2025, two of our School’s students competed with great success in the Eurasian Schools Debating Championship 2025, which was organized and hosted by Robert College in Istanbul.
Our students participated with the Panhellenic Forensics Association delegation, representing Greece in this international competition. More than 270 speakers in 66 teams from all over the world competed at this year’s ESDC.
After 6 preliminary rounds, competing against teams from China, South Africa, Turkey, Austria and many more:
- Artemis Papastavrou (IB2) won the Championship with the Greek national debate team, of which she is a member. In the final they defeated the team from China. Artemis is joined on the national team by: Marianna Argeiti (Pierce College), Ellie Kitinou (Moraitis School), and Kai Yuet Zhang (ACS Athens).
- Danae Tatsopoulou (IB1) competed with the Juniors’ team, and reached the octofinals of the competition.
