Dimitra Panagouli studied at the Department of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed her postgraduate studies in Mathematics Education at the same department. Her second Master's degree is in Educational Leadership and Administration (University of Nicosia - MEd in Educational Leadership and Administration). She has been trained at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and at Arizona State University. She has been selected as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and has been awarded by the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports for Excellence and Best Practices in Primary Education.

She is a distinguished member of the Scientific Association for the Promotion of Educational Innovation and has been a member of the jury of the European Conference on Games Based Learning since 2013. She has published and presented papers in international conferences ("Learning Math through Creativity and Role Playing", "Digital Games and Historical-Cultural Education", "Greek Revolution against Ottoman Empire through Arts and New Technologies"). She has been working in private education for 20 years. She joined the staff of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation in 2010 and has served as PYP coordinator in 6th grade and member of the EFQM Committee of HAEF. Since September 2023, she is Director of Psychico College Elementary School.
