On Thursday, December 21, 2023, Athens College President Professor Spiros N. Pollalis, invited Arts teachers from all grade levels of Athens College to a meeting with Dimitris Daskalopoulos x76, who will fund the new Arts Building at the Psychico campus.

Mr. Daskalopoulos spoke to the teachers about the new building, which will be part of the School's daily operation. As he said, he aspires to put education in the arts and for art to become part of education. At the same time, however, he noted that the new Arts Building will be a center of outreach for Athens College, which will be open to the community through its exhibition spaces and programs for the public.

More than 50 teachers from our School who attended the meeting enthusiastically expressed their anticipation for the creation of this new building and exchanged views on its utilization and further development of the School's arts program from Kindergarten through to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation, Ms. Annika Papantoniou, and Athens College President, Mr. Pollalis, thanked Mr. Daskalopoulos and stressed to the teachers that their contribution will be crucial for the success of this new venture.
