On Wednesday, November 4, more than 300 boxes of basic necessities that the Student Communities of the Elementary, Junior High, and High Schools of Athens College and Psychico College collected for the residents of Farsala and Mouzaki were delivered to the Regional Unit of Karditsa in the Administrative Region of Thessaly. Throughout October, students collected toiletries, cleaning supplies, food items with a long shelf life, as well as school and stationery supplies to meet the needs of residents affected by the devastating floods of this past September.
Present at the time of delivery was the Deputy Regional Governor of Karditsa, Mr. Kostas Nousios, the Mayor of Mouzaki, Mr. Fanis Stathis, the Director of the 1st General High School of Karditsa, and other representatives of local bodies. Representing the College and the Student Communities were faculty members, Messrs. Nikos Kollias and Alexandros Spyroglou, as well as Mr. Chrysostomos Symeonidis, the School’s Director of Social Welfare and Diversity.
Visibly moved, Mr. Nousios and Mr. Stathis conveyed their wishes and thanks to both the College Administrations and the Directors of the School Units, as well as to the dear students for their benevolence towards the victims of the aforementioned areas.
