Psychico College Elementary School 1st Grade – 200 Years since the Greek Revolution
Mar 31, 2021
In their Creative Arts class, 1st grade students contemplated the uniforms worn by the Heroes of the Revolution of 1821 and Greek traditional costumes.
Inspired by the motifs used in traditional Greek garments, they drew in double line outlines the year of the Greek Revolution, 1821, or the number of years since the Greek Revolution, 200, and then decorated the numbers with patterns, lines and motifs.
As for colors, the children were inspired by the colors of the costumes or used broad width black markers with different tip sizes in order to give tonal variation and depth to their work.
