In their Creative Arts class, 6th grade students were introduced to Calligrammes: Poems of Peace and War 1913-1916, a collection of poems by Guillaume Apollinaire that familiarized them with visual poetry.  Using this method, they then created visual images with the words from Dionysios Solomos’ poem, Hymn to Liberty.
