1st Prize and Commendation to Psychico College Elementary School Pupils in Hellenic Foundation for Culture’s International Drawing Competition
Psychico College Elementary School received an important distinction in the online International Children’s Drawing Competition, organized by the Hellenic Foundation of Culture in collaboration with the Museum of Greek Children’s Art. Supported by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, the competition commemorated the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821.
Titled, “Children and Adolescents Capture the Meaning of the Struggle of 1821,” students in primary grades 5 and 6 and junior high grades 7, 8 and 9 from around Greece and from the Greek diaspora had an opportunity to submit one entry per grade level.
Our school participated with entries by 6th grade student Christos Nikolaou who won 1st Prize and 5th grader Sebastian Crone Hansen who received a Commendation.
Congratulations to the children for their artistic sensitivity and important distinction!
According to information received by the School, the children will receive their award in the upcoming school year at a special ceremony that will be held at the Hellenic Foundation of Culture.
