Observance of Athens College Founders’ Day, in memory of our School’s great benefactors and motivators, began with the time-honored liturgy at the Church of the Archangels on Monday, October 18, 2021. Present at the liturgy were members of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation and of the School’s Administration.

Speeches were made by Chairwoman of the HAEF Board of Directors Mrs. Annika Papantoniou and Athens College President Professor Costas Synolakis ‘75.

This was followed by celebratory events in all the school units. 

October 18th has been designated “College Founders’ Day” inasmuch as the official inauguration of the College took place on Sunday, October 18, 1925, with classes commencing the following day, Monday.
