Mr. Stelios Kakavogiannis, Physical Education teacher and swimming coach of our School, attended the award ceremony at the Presidential Palace of Cyprus on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, to honor the Paralympic Team of Cyprus and its coaches who participated in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiadis, and the Paralympic Committee of Cyprus honored swimmer Ms. Karolina Pelendritou and her coach, Mr. Stelios Kakavogiannis for their successes.

The Paralympic athlete, Ms. Pelendritou, won the Bronze medal in 50m freestyle, and the Gold medal in 100m breaststroke, setting a new world record.
