The first educational visits for the current school year were environmental excursions, which are directly linked to the “Taking care of the Environment - Living in a better World” Skills Workshops. The Athens College Elementary students from the final two Grades visited coasts in eastern Attica (Nea Makri, Schinias) and made sure to clear all plastic trash from the beaches. The trip was in partnership with the City of Marathon and with the support of Helmepa, whose seagull was pivotal in motivating us to take action. The children enjoyed the trip, and felt proud to contribute to the protection of the environment.
