College students participate in Triathlon Charity Race
The triathlon race “TRIPLE LEAGUE” by IONAS Association - Department
of Therapeutic Education and Sports for the Disabled and
the administration of the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens “Spiros Louis”, was
successfully organized on Sunday, November 28, 2021.
The race was organized for a very special charitable goal. The income will be used to replace the elevator of the OAKA Indoor Swimming Pools, which is used by people with disabilities, the elderly, and parents with strollers, and is their only access route to the pools from the Eirini ISAP station.
Athens College students Theodoros Efstathiou, Ilias Machairas, Georgios Markoulakis, along with gym trainers from the Association’s hydrotherapy department were among those who volunteered in this event. In addition to the participation of the College’s students, our School also participated by sponsoring athletes who raced for this goal, and College flags flew in the race venue.
The Athens College participation in this charitable sports event was organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Diversity.
