Athens College President, Professor of Natural Hazards and Chairman of the National Committee for Climate Change Costas Synolakis ’75 was keynote speaker at a Harvard Club of Greece event on Climate Change and Natural Disasters held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Many Athens College alumni as well as parents, graduates of Harvard attended the event.

In his speech, entitled «Climate Change and Natural Disasters: a Heavy Toll, Actions and the Future», Professor Synolakis spoke of natural disasters, floods, tidal waves, fires and earthquakes and stressed the importance of prevention for the effects of extreme phenomena.
