Students of Athens College Grade 6, in the framework of the Who We Are: Health and Nutrition unit, researched the recent history of nutrition, analyzed and synthesized their data, collaborated, experimented with alternative growing and production methods, and created presentations to share the results of their research. As a final result of the research process, they took action and created a poster entitled KEEP THE FOOD RUNNING- DON'T BURN IT OUT! for the Panhellenic competition "Sustainable Food - Sustainable Planet - Be the FIRST!" announced by the Educational Organization "Horizons" in cooperation with the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition of the University of Thessaly. The Competition aims to raise awareness among students and teachers about the need for a sustainable and healthy food production and consumption system and invites students to create projects that promote this idea. The students' project was awarded by the Competition with the 3rd prize for the Best Poster in Primary Education, among more than 200 entries!
