In the context of the interdisciplinary unit "How the world works", we had the pleasure of welcoming to our School Mr. George Agiostratitis, a civil engineer and father of one of our students in the 2nd grade. Mr. Agiostratitis presented to us in a very interesting and understandable way the history and importance of building houses. Through his presentation, the children learned how and why people started to create houses, looking at the evolution of their needs and the role of the community in the creation of neighborhoods. It was a valuable experience that linked directly to the 'neighborhood' theme we are working on this term and enhanced the children's experiential learning!
