Psychico College Elementary School - March 25th Celebration
Mar 27, 2025
On Friday, March 21, Psychico College Elementary School students dedicated the day to celebrating the anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821.
The day began with the joint 5th grade parade alongside Athens College Elementary School, held at the Alexandros Athanasiadis stadium. We were honored to welcome Mr. Aidonis, Mayor of Pallini, and School Counselor Ms. Maniati to this special event. Following the parade, students engaged in discussions with their counselors about the significance of the Greek Revolution and read relevant texts in their classrooms. The celebration continued at the School Theater, where students from Elementary School 3, 4, 5, and 6 attended a commemorative event prepared by section 5c. The event was organized under the guidance of teachers Ms.Theologitou and Mr. Galitis.
The participation of the choir, directed by Mr. Manolikakis, created a special atmosphere. Students immersed themselves in the spirit of the fight for freedom with emotion and enthusiasm.
Throughout the week, our students had the opportunity to explore an exhibition of historical objects from the Greek Revolution of 1821, displayed in the School's patio. The items came from the personal collection of former Minister and War Museum President, Anastasios Liaskos (parent of a student).
Celebrating the anniversary of 1821 was a unique opportunity for our students to honor past struggles. Through experiential activities, discussions, and artistic expression, they strengthened their connection to freedom, national identity, and our country's historical legacy.
