On Tuesday, March 4, and Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the Interpretive Reading Competition took place with great success. It was jointly organized by Athens College High School and Psychico College High School, in collaboration with the 2nd Directorate of Secondary Education of Athens. The Competition was open to students of all grades from all General and Vocational High Schools in Attica, with the theme: "Portrayals of mothers in modern Greek literature".

In the first round of the Competition, ninety-nine students from thirty-five public and private schools in Attica presented the texts they had selected before a panel of judges. The panel was comprised of Teachers/Counselors from schools that participated in the Competition.

The eleven students who received the highest scores qualified to the second round of the Competition and presented their texts to a panel of judges, comprising of: Mr. Vaios Vaiopoulos, Professor of Latin Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Ms. Panagiota Gkounti, English Language Education Counselor at the 2nd Directorate of Secondary Education of Athens, and Mr. Krateros Katsoulis, stage, film and television actor, director and theatrical producer.

The musical part of the event was coordinated by Interschool Head of the Music Department, Mr. Stefanos Tsokakis. Psychico College Junior High School students, Anna Amargiotaki and Nestor Stavrakoudis, also participated, in collaboration with Music teacher Ms. Aikaterini Molfesi, and Mr. Stefanos Tsokakis.

The students who were distinguished and received prizes are the following:

1st prize: Konstantina Destouni (General High School of Melissia)

2nd prize: Areti Maravelaki (Model General High School of Anavryta)

3rd prize: Georgia Moulatsioti (2nd General High School of Cholargos) & Anthi Polymenou (2nd General High School of Agia Paraskevi) (tie)
