Investigating the relationship between brain and mind
In an interview to Kathimerini newspaper, Jean-Pierre Changeux, the leading French neuroscientist, professor emeritus at Collège de France and the Pasteur Institute of France, speaks about accessing consciousness.
Approximately 50 years ago, he became the first neuroscientist who managed to isolate those structures in the brain that make communication between brain cells possible. He became known to the general public for his views about the relationship between mind and brain. He has received dozens of international science awards and honorary doctorates from more than 10 of the world’s top universities. He is the author of 600 scientific articles and several books.
