Thank you for your support!
We are inviting you to support the Psychico College Elementary School Student Community "Spread the happiness" initiative, in the frame of which our students are raising funds to improve the education conditions for students of the St. Mary’s Orthodox School, located at the Katente village in Uganda, Africa. The school hosts 300 students across all grades from Kindergarten to High School.
Our students support students!
The initiative aims to upgrade the school facilities (renovate the school kitchen and bathrooms, construct a water tank, equip offices with furniture, purchase a lawnmower). For this project, the students are collaborating with Father Emmanuel Balire from St. Nicholas Church in Markopoulo, Attica.
In the frame of this initiative, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, the Psychico College Elementary School Student Community, in collaboration with Happy Kids Radio.gr, celebrated the International Day of Happiness global movement towards a happier, more inclusive, and resilient world, by hanging its “laundry” of happiness. The students used T-shirts to draw and write how they imagine such a world. The T-shirts will be sent to the students of the St. Mary’s Orthodox Nursery and Primary School. See more here (el).
The project, as other activities, is part of the twinning of the two schools, a beautiful collaboration based on the joy of giving and solidarity.
In 2024, the Psychico College Elementary students offered the Kindergarten and Primary school students of St Mary’s Orthodox School (unnamed and unclaimed until the end of the last school year 2023-2024) school uniforms as well as T-shirts designed by last year’s 6th grade students as part of the Grade 6 Children’s Entrepreneurship program presented at the PYP Exhibition. The kids accepted our students' kind gesture with great enthusiasm. See more here.
Let's support the effort of our students!
The funds required to complete the project amount to approximately 3,000 euros. The funds raised will help our students cover the expenses of their initiative. Through this effort, our students are also participating at the Annual Fund in support of our School's Scholarship Program as any surplus will be earmarked for Financial Aid to classmates and their families, as needed.
Every gift empowers our students.
