On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, Athens College Junior High School students had the opportunity to communicate directly with Nautilus, the National Geographic Explorer ship, which sailed on a mission in the Pacific Ocean from October 1-8.

Students attended a presentation on Nautilus and the research it conducts on sharks and the pollution caused by microplastics with great interest and, at the end of the presentation, asked various questions pertaining to the life and research of a National Geographic explorer.
