The Athens College Teachers’ Association held an Extraordinary Meeting today, at 08:15, May 24, 2023, in Psychico, following the sad news of the untimely and unexpected death of our beloved colleague and teacher in active service, Athina Lekka, class PE02.

Athina was a model teacher and educator. Always cheerful, kind and smiling, she was esteemed for the integrity of her character and was a source of optimism and creativity to all of us.

She instilled in her students a love for knowledge, fostering faith in values and cultivating the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.

We, the Teachers' Association, expressing our deepest sorrow for the grave loss of our beloved Athina, have unanimously motioned:

- to express our sincere condolences to her family 

-to authorize the Co-Director & Director of Athens College High School, Mr. C. Konstantopoulos to deliver a eulogy.

- that the School deposit a sum of money instead of a wreath to the Scholarship Program in memory of Athina.

-that the Athens College High School Teachers' Association deposit a sum of money instead of a wreath to the Parents' Association of Children with Cancer 'Floga'.

- that the Student Community deposit a sum of money instead of a wreath to the Parents' Association of Children with Cancer 'Floga'.

-that the Funeral service be attended by a delegation of the Student Community.

-that this motion be published on the Athens College website.

For this purpose, the present act has been drawn up.
