The Handover Ceremony of the Athens College Presidency from Professor Costas E. Synolakis ’75 to Professor Spiros N. Pollalis was held at the Choremi Theater on Friday, September 1, 2023. Outgoing President Costas Synolakis gave a brief account of his three-year tenure and symbolically presented his successor with the College seal.

Incoming President Spiros N. Pollalis thanked his predecessor as well as the two Boards of the School for entrusting him with the position of Athens College President for a second time.

Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation Mrs. Annika Papantoniou, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Georgios Antoniadis '80 delivered opening remarks thanking Mr. Synolakis for his valuable services to the School and wished him every success in his future endeavors. At the same time, they welcomed Mr. Pollalis and wished him success in his new mission.
