On Saturday, September 23, 2023, the opening of the exhibition of the Children's Art Competition titled "Man in the Center" took place at the Arts Center of the Municipality of Athens. It is the 10th children's painting competition in a row organized by the Museum of Cycladic Art and this year's protagonist was the figurine of a female figure dating from 2700-2400/2300 BC, which is presented in the permanent exhibition "Cycladic Art" of the Museum. Taking the figurine as a starting point, children drew the transformations of Man through the history of cultures, the works and the environment he creates.

A total of 19,500 children from all over Greece and abroad participated in this year's Children's Painting Competition.
