Oct 24, 2023

We are excited to announce that Athens College and Psychico College have successfully completed their recent evaluation visits for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization. These evaluation visits are an integral part of the comprehensive review process that ensures that the standards and practices of an IB World School are being upheld, recognizes achievements, and provides suggestions for growth.

Highly qualified and experienced IB-trained educators and leaders from other IB World Schools visited our School virtually on October 18-20 to conduct the evaluation. During the visits, they observed classes and engaged in discussions with the School's Direction and Administration, pedagogical leadership teams, teachers, staff, students, parents, and guardians. Τhe valuable feedback and insights gathered from these reflective conversations will significantly contribute to our ongoing efforts to excel in education.

The remarkable success of our recent evaluation visits demonstrates the passion, hard work, and unwavering dedication of our exceptional educational community. We sincerely thank all the students, parents, faculty, and staff for their active participation and cooperation throughout this meaningful process.

Athens College and Psychico College have successfully been certified as MYP World Schools by the International Baccalaureate since the beginning of 2019. Both Schools are part of a worldwide community of over 5,000 schools that offer IB programmes in their curriculum from Kindergarten through to High School (Primary Years Programme – PYP, Middle Years Programme – MYP, and Diploma Programme – DP), and are committed to developing knowledgeable and caring young people with shared values of intercultural understanding and respect.

In keeping with our Mission Statement, the IB accreditation acts as a testament to the world of the high-quality standards in education that all Hellenic-American Educational Foundation Schools value and hold themselves to every day.
