On January 19-22, 2024, 5 of our School’s students competed with great success in the Eurasian Schools Debating Championship 2024, which was organized and hosted by Robert College in Istanbul.

The students participated with the Panhellenic Forensics Association delegation, representing Greece in this international competition. More than 165 speakers from 7 countries competed at this year’s ESDC.

After 6 preliminary rounds, and having successfully advanced through the quarterfinals and semifinals, the two Greek teams met in the Grand Final of the competition!

The team including Eleana Dalacoura (IB1) and Artemis Papastavrou (IB1) were declared ESDC Champions, and the team of Manos Alevras (IB2), Leonidas Marinopoulos (IB2) and Maximus Papaioannides (IB2) were the Runners-up.

In the individual speaker rankings, Maximus Papaioannides ranked 4th,  Leonidas Marinopoulos 7th, Artemis Papastavrou 8th, Manos Alevras 9th, and Eleana Dalacoura 11th, among 165 speakers overall.
