Athens College 25th March Oratory Competition Final
On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the final round of the Athens College "25th of March" Oratory Competition open to students of Grade 11 took place at the Athens College Theater.
Winner of the "25th of March" Prize for school year 2023-2024 was student Michaela Loutska, while Efstratios Rallis took second place.
The students competed in a written essay on the following theme:
"Greek women, both named and anonymous, contributed to the organization of the 1821 Revolution, to the conduct of the battles and to the all-round support of the Struggle, thus paving the way for the dynamic presence of women in contemporary Greece".
The Greek Committee of judges was composed of Ms. Eva Karaitidi, Director of Hestia Publications, Mr. Ioannis Katsarakis '95, Banker, Holder of the 1994 "25th of March" Prize, and Mr. Napoleon Maravegias, Professor Emeritus of Macroeconomic Analysis and European Economic Integration, Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the University of Athens.
