Athens College Elementary School acts against Climate Change!
Apr 16, 2024
As part of the "Young Reporters for the Environment" competition, students of Ms. Drimili's English class 6d did research on forest fires and their impact on climate change. The students created posters on the topic of wildfires and climate change, as well as a presentation with their own ideas and thoughts on the destruction of the planet. The students planted trees in our School's forest and presented their action to the rest of the 6th grade students, in order to raise awareness among their peers on such an important problem concerning the future of our planet. Their message was that "Even a tree counts" if we want to reverse climate change and its devastating effects on the environment. Guest speaker at the presentation was the Lieutenant of the 12th Fire Brigade, Mr. Lemodetis, who spoke to students about forest and domestic fires.
