This global initiative invites schools worldwide to unite in addressing environmental challenges. At Athens College Elementary School, we enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to participate in Global Action Days 2024, led by our English Department. Through a range of engaging hands-on activities, our students seamlessly integrated environmental education with actionable solutions. 🌱

From exploring the concept of bioeconomy through creative projects and scavenger hunts for bio food treasures to investigating the correlation between extreme weather events and climate change, our students demonstrated a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. They proactively engaged in measures to build resilience within our school and community, including tree planting initiatives and awareness campaigns. 🌳

In addition, our students embraced the principles of circular economy, turning waste into wisdom through upcycling projects and engaging games.
