Recycling and Reuse of Books Action 2023-2024

During academic year 2023-2024, our students actively participated in the action for the recycling and reuse of books. The action started after a proposal was made by students Leonidas Haidemenos, Stamatis Karatzas, and Dimitris Sarakakis, who presented it to the Athens College and Psychico College Junior High and High School 15-member Student Councils.
The entire student community was then mobilized and responded to the cause. Large recycling bins were placed on both school campuses and were filled with books, notes, and notebooks. After the books were collected, they were sorted into those destined for recycling and those in good condition to be offered to schools and institutions to enrich their libraries. Students actively participated in the whole process.
Through the action of Recycling and Reuse of Books, our students contribute substantially to the protection of the environment, support children in schools and institutions in need but also support our School's Scholarship Program with the proceeds from recycling.
