The celebration of Olympic Day by Athens College and Psychico College Junior High and High School students was held on Monday, April 4, 2016 in the College Theater on the Psychico campus.

The Physical Education Department and “A” Association dedicated the event to the efforts and activities carried out by the Paralympic Committee and to the Paralympic athletes who set a shining example with their willpower, mental strength and inspiration.

Mr. Sakis Kostaris, Communications Manager of the Paralympic Committee, explained what they do as a committee and talked about their activities.  Paralympic athletes, Mrs. Michalis Seitis and Iason Gantes, answered questions posed by “A” Association members regarding positive attitudes and the athletes’ goals for the Paralympc Games in Rio. 

Mrs. Natalia Kantzia, College alumnus and English Teacher at Psychico College Elementary School, performed the Olympic Anthem, accompanied on piano by Mr. Stefanos Tsokakis, Interschool Head of Music.
