The PanHellenic Track & Field Championship for Aʹ Boys and Girls U-16 was held in Chalkida during the weekend of July 15-16, 2017.  Twenty-four students from the College took part.  The girls’ team took 1^st place and boys’ 3^rd.

New College records were set in the following events:

·      300m Sprint: record set by Athens College Junior High School 9^th grader Elli-Eftychia Deligianni with a time of 41”41 (3^rd place).

·      2000m Race:  record set by Athens College Junior High School 9^th grader Sofia Saranti with a time of 7’01”10 (3^rd place).

·      4x80m Relay Race:  record set by Junior High School 8^th and 9^th grade girls Despoina Laimou, Adamantia Alevra, Dorothea Kaltsa and Markella-Kalliopi Papandreou with a time of 39”40 (1^st place).

·      4x300m Relay Race:  record set by Junior High School 8^th and 9^th grade boys Panagiotis Tzonos, Alexandros Kapagiannidis, Filippos Chatzis and Panteleimon-Aristotelis Argyropoulos with a time of 2’33”70 (1^st place).

Additionally, the following students placed in the top three places:

·      Psychico College Junior High School 9^th grader, Alexandros Kapagiannidis, 1^st place in the 600m race

·      Athens College Junior High School 9^th grader, Markella-Kalliopi Papandreou, 1^st place in the 80m sprint

·      Athens College Junior High School 9^th grader, Konstantinos Gkiokas, 2^nd place in the 1000m race

·      Junior High School 8^th and 9^th graders, Maria-Gemma Matsiota, Mikaela Zafet, Dimitra Zafeira and Elli-Eftychia Deligianni, 2^nd place in the 4x300m relay race

·      Psychico College Junior High School 8^th grader, Aristotelis Sarantis, 3^rd place in the 100m hurdle

·      Psychico College Junior High School 9^th grader, Adamantia Alevra, 3^rd place in the 80m hurdle
