While working on their first cross-curricular research unit, titled “Who We Are,” Kindergarten students got to meet Paralympian athlete Che Jon Fernandes who competes in shot-put events.  This activity gave our students an opportunity to learn about diversity and to become more open-minded.  It also made them think about the importance of daring to approach with bravery what we truly love. The objective of the meeting was to raise awareness and to respect all the things that make us special and so unique!
