Due to the unique circumstances imposed by the pandemic, Athens College High School seniors who are in the Maths and Sciences concentration “visited” CERN this year virtually.

Today, Tuesday March 16, 2021, students attended a live presentation about CERN by CERN’s official tour guide and researcher, Dr. Despina Hatzifotiadou

The one-hour digital tour of CERN for the benefit of Athens College High School students set its sights on informing our students about CERN’s mission, its organizational structure, the technological advancements that have unfolded as a result of CERN discoveries, as well as big questions in Physics that have already been answered by researchers.

The event ended with a presentation of the programs currently underway at CERN.
