International Children’s Book Day
International
Children’s Book Day, celebrated on April 2,
anniversary of the birth of storyteller Hans Christian Andersen, is aimed at
promoting reading appreciation. Pastime reading in early childhood broadens
youngsters’ horizons, and facilitates in the development of thinking,
communication, research and self-management skills.
“Charalampos
Vellis” Library is once again
participating in the celebration of this important day for books. In order to adapt to the special
circumstances brought about by the pandemic, during the week of 3/29 – 4/2,
different, surprise activities aimed at reinforcing reading appreciation have
been planned for the online Library lessons.
Each Kindergarten section will engage in a different activity.
The children of the Sea Bream section prepared little posters during Library time to inform the entire school community about this great day!
