“Sea Bass” Section Discovers What an Illustrator Does
On the occasion of International Children’s Book Day, students used Microsoft Teams to meet and chat with the mother of one of their classmates who is an illustrator of children’s books. The children practiced their social and thinking skills to inquire and learn how to draw the heroes in children’s books. The mother-illustrator used appropriate visual material to show them how illustrators draw the nature and emotions of the book’s characters (eg. cunning fox, evil crow). She also explained that they must carefully observe the real subjects and their subjects’ faces in order to be able to capture them on paper. The students were thrilled to discover the secrets of an illustrator.
We thank her!
