Dr. Alexis Mordoh Speaks to Parents of College Students
On Monday, April 5, 2021, Dr. Alexis Mordoh, Clinical Psychologist-Psychotherapist, gave an online talk to Athens College parents on “Sexual Harassment and Abuse in Adolescence – Prevention & Treatment.”
Dr. Mordoh spoke to parents about this sensitive topic and answered all their questions.
College President, Prof. Costas Synolakis ’75, gave the prologue. Members of the School’s Psychoeducational Department and Department of Social Welfare and Diversity were also present and spoke about the school’s role in addressing such issues.
The event was co-organized by the Parents’ Associations of Athens College and Psychico College Junior High Schools and the College’s Psychoeducational Department.
A little about Dr. Alexis Mordoh
Dr. Alexis Mordoh is a clinical psychologist who received a doctorate from the University of Denver and a post-doctoral degree in child and adolescent psychology from McLean Hospital – Harvard Medical School. He provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families and works closely with schools and parent groups. He also organizes educational activities for psychotherapists in relational psychoanalytical psychotherapy and teaches courses in the post-graduate program of clinical psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
