Recycle Today: Psychico College High School’s Environmental Club Action
The objective of this year’s Recycle Today Club was to inform students about the problem of waste, particularly plastics, and to take action across all school levels to limit its use.
At first, the students looked at the problem of plastic waste and its social and environmental implications. They then thought about and discussed actions that could be conducted on a school level.
In order to raise awareness in the wider school community, the Club’s students created a video clip for Environmental Awareness Day, recognizing the Three R’s of Sustainability – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle – as solutions to the problem.
In the end, students realized that even small-scale actions can have a positive global impact.
