HAEF Schools’ Inaugural Faculty Meeting
The inaugural meeting of the faculty members of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation School Units that kicked off the start of the start of the new academic year was held on Friday, September 3, 2021. Due to the unique circumstances, the meeting took place in the IC Hall where only the speakers were physically present and from where their speeches were livestreamed to all the faculty and administrative staff of the School.
Athens College President, Prof. Costas Synolakis ’75, opened the meeting.
Mr. Alexandros Phylactopoulos, Vice-Chairman of the HAEF Board of Directors, addressed the audience as did Dr. Christos Papanikolaou, General Coordinator of the HAEF School Units.
Dr. Antonios Makris, pediatrician and Head of the Athens College Medical Services, followed with a speech on “The Pandemic and Inoculation”.
Dr. Maya Alivizatou, Interschool Coordinator of the Psychoeducational Department and Psychosocial Health of Athens College, then spoke about "Supporting Ourselves and Our Students upon the Start of the New Academic Year".
Lastly, the College's Director of Social Welfare and Diversity, Mr. Chrysostomos Symeonidis, talked on the topic of "Student Coexistence and Solidarity".
