“Athens Marathon, The Authentic” took place on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, 2021. A total of 170 runners (students, parents, friends, alumni and employees) represented the Athens College family at the 38th Athens Marathon, honoring the history and ideals of the Marathon race and of sportsmanship.

For the last eleven years, the Athens College family has been participating consistently and with great success in the Athens Marathon.  This initiative spreads awareness and drives up engagement with the Athens College Scholarship Program, which provides support to our School’s students and their families when financial assistance is needed.

There are two ways in which we participate in the Athens Marathon:

AS RUNNERS - REPRESENTATIVES OF OUR SCHOOL, in the Athens Marathon, or in the 5km and 10km Races. 

AS SUPPORTERS OF THE COLLEGE RUNNERS, recognizing their efforts to support the Scholarship Program through our donations. You can continue supporting the College runners until the end of November 2021, through the following link: www.athenscollege.edu.gr/give/givenow. Every donation, regardless of the amount, counts. Your support is crucial in ensuring that no student will be deprived for financial reasons of the education and experience that Athens College provides. During the last year, we provided financial support (including emergency financial aid due to the pandemic) to over 1,000 students - nearly 25% of our student community.
