“Youth with Refugees”
We are pleased to announce that Maria Polytimi Zarampouka, a 5th grade student, submitted one of the best designs in the “Youth with Refugees” Art Contest organized by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. https://www.unhcr.org/gr/23209-five-footballs-designed-young-artists-raise-funds-refugee-sports-programmes.html
The competition celebrated the power of sport to bring people together. Many young people who live in Greece submitted entries and won distinctions and prizes. Among them was our student Polytimi Zarampouka, 5στ.
The theme of the competition was “Together through Sport.” Inspired by world geography, our student created a design titled “Reconciled Communities.” Politimi, herself, states: “Children’s drawings show the world not as it is, but as it should be. So, I am dreaming that in the future the world will be the way it ought to be.”
Inspirational words from a 10 year old child! Let us all fight together for a fairer world, guided by children.
