Regional Scholarships - “Konstantinos and Rhea Nanopoulos” Scholarship
AIM OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The “Konstantinos and Rhea Nanopoulos” Scholarship was established in 2019, thanks to the kind generosity of Mr. Nicholas Nanopoulos, in honor of his parents Konstantinos and Rhea. The aim of the scholarship is to support a student who resides and is from the broader region of Magnesia to attend Athens College and Psychico College, the schools of the Hellenic American Educational Foundation. Priority will be given to candidates who reside in Pelion, place of origin and birthplace of the donor’s father and grandfather.
The scholarship will be granted to a student who will successfully participate in HAEF’s Entrance Exams for Junior High Grade 1, and who demonstrates high academic performance, excellent conduct, and their family is facing financial difficulties.
The scholarship covers up to 100% of tuition fees, the cost of books and the use of a school bus for the entirety of the scholar’s studies from Junior High Grade 1 (2022-23) until their graduation from the General High School or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP), so long as the terms of the scholarship are fulfilled throughout. In addition to this, if the family is not able to provide a place of residence for the scholar in Athens, there will be an additional 500€ per month available towards living expenses, for 10 months per academic year.
