The PanHellenic Cross Country Championship took place in Pyli in the Trikala regional unit on Sunday, February 20 2022. Twenty one (21) Athens College students took part.

The 16-year-old boys and 16-year-old girls’ teams won first place and the 18-year-old men’s team won third place.

The first three places were won by:

• 3.000m race by Psychico College 9th grade student Ioannis Bitounis (1st place)
• 3.000m race by Athens College Grade 9 student Georgios-Alexios Zacharias (2nd place)
• 3.000m race by Athens College Grade 9 student Konstantinos Gonticas (3rd place)
• 2.000m by Athens College Grade 9 student Kalliopi Patera (3rd place)

Our students’ teams were accompanied by their teachers - trainers Mr. Giannis Economou, Ms. Maria Protopapa and Coordinator of the Afterschool Competitive Sports Program Mr. Theodore Grammaticopoulos.
