2nd Place Award in the Greek Social Innovation Relay

May 24, 2022

Psychico College High School’s Youth Entrepreneurship Club won the 2nd Place Award in the Social Innovation Relay competition, organized by Junior Achievement Greece, with their team Recrewted. The competition took place online on May 16, 2022.

The Recrewted team was represented by Year 1 students of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, David Alexandros, Toutziaridis Alkiviadis-Ioannis, Voudouri Sofronia-Efrosyni, and Voulgari Evangelia.

This is the second consecutive distinction for the team, who were in 2nd place with the same project in the Greek Final of the International Entrepreneurship Diamond Challenge Competition, which was organized under the auspices of the University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship.

Recrewted provides an online platform through which people with limited professional experience can connect to access job openings and training materials. The team realized that it becomes increasingly difficult for unskilled unemployed people to find a job. So they created a useful tool, especially aimed at economic migrants and refugees who are looking for work in a country, where they are not fully integrated socially and do not speak the local language.

Congratulations to our students for their success, and to the Club’s teacher advisors, Mr. Thanos Karamitsas, Ms. Eleni Markopoulou, and Mr. Panagiotis Statiris.
