Athens College students’ awards in the “Hack the Map: Imaginary worlds” competition by the Onassis Foundation
Athens College Junior High 3 students Aikaterini Maria Agoranou, Georgios Bartsotas, Nikolaos Emmanouil Skevis, Vyronas Trikkalidis, Georgios Tsahageas and Georigos Tsogkas participated in the digital narration category of the Onassis Foundation’s PanHellenic School Competition “Hack the Map: Imaginary Worlds”.
The competition’s theme was inspired by the travel maps of Greek territories from the 16th-19th century. The Athens College Junior High entry was titled: “MapTrekkers - Traveling through time and space - Time traveling to the Corinthian lands”.
The digital proposal was submitted on January and qualified for the 2nd
stage of the competition. The final digital project was reviewed by the judges
in May 2022 along with another 16 projects, and won the 2nd Place
Award in the digital narration category. The award comes with a 750 Euro
sponsorship of technical equipment to the school unit.
Ms. Lambrini Zisi was the Teacher Advisor in charge of the school’s delegation to this competition.
