Four College students, graduates of the Class of 2022, represented Greece with great success at the Netherlands World Schools Debating Championship 2022, which took place online on August 7-18, 2022, with 68 countries from all over the world and 340 speakers taking part.

Stella Stenou was the 8th Best ESL Speaker among the 34 countries from Europe, the Americas and Africa taking part (Western Division), and Maria Chissa ranked 16th! Charikleia Moraitaki was the 17th Best EFL Speaker globally, and the 14th Best EFL Speaker in the Western Division.

The five-member Team Greece that represented our country to the world championship this year was comprised of our students Maria Chissa, George Kyriakopoulos, Charikleia Moraitaki and Stella Stenou, and the Moraitis School student Alexandra Kavantouri.

The team’s coaches, on behalf of the Panhellenic Forensics Association, were Themis Markidis (Pierce College) and Kallina Basli (Athens College - Psychico College).
