IB2 students Alkiviadis Toutziaridis and Sofronia-Efrosyni Voudouri ranked in 2nd and 5th place respectively among 38.000 competitors from 7 different countries in the finals of the International Economics Olympiad, held in Budapest on September 6-9.

Alkiviadis Toutziaridis and Sofronia-Efrosyni Voudouri met with Athens College President Professor Costas Synolakis ‘75, who congratulated them for their distinctions. They were accompanied by IB Programmes Director and IB DP Head Ms. Eleni Vasileiou.

Students spoke of the procedure they went through all the way from the Greek Economics Olympiad to the International Competition and also about their studies in the IB DP, where they both take Economics HL taught by Mr. Konstantinos Ziogas and show great interest in this subject.
