“The Antikythera Mechanism: a Magical Journey” by Kostis Stikas

Athens College Grade 2, 3 and 4 students attended a presentation by author Mr. Kostis Stikas on his book “The Antikythera Mechanism: A Magical Journey”. The author’s daughter and illustrator of the book, Ms. Sofia Stika, also participated in the presentation.
Students had the opportunity to learn the story of the discovery of the Antikythera Mechanism and its possible connection to modern clocks, as well as the work of a sponge diver.
