In his capacity as Professor of Natural Disasters and Chairman of the Scientific Committee on Climate Change in Greece, Athens College President Costas Synolakis ’75 gave virtual addresses to two conferences on Natural Disasters held in Athens on Monday, October 24 2022.

• He participated in a workshop on “Artificial Intelligence for Natural Disaster Management”, hosted by the General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Posts of the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance.
• He was a lecturer at the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies’ event “Insurance industry contribution in building a sustainable future”. His speech was entitled: «Planetary health – the hidden threat».
