On Tuesday, December 6 2022, Deputy Minister of Development and Investment in charge of Research and Innovation Dr. Christos Dimas ’98 visited our School and had a fruitful discussion with Athens College Junior High School students who are members of the Physics Thinking and Astronomy clubs. This session was titled “Research and Innovation in Education. Greece 2.0”.

Mr. Dimas spoke of the framework in which Research and Innovation are developing in Greece. Students then asked him a series of questions and received scientifically documented answers on the implementation of Research and Innovation on a global scale, in Greece, and in education.

The session took place at the IC Hall, in the Alexandra Martinou building, and concluded with a short interview of the Deputy Minister by our students, which will be featured in the next issue of the “Physics Thinking” journal of Athens College Junior High School.
