J.M. Carras Kindergarten gladly announces the participation of some of its members in the international conference entitled “Bright Start International Conference: Early Years Excellence in Practice”. The conference is organized by the Bright Start Foundation and was held at the Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Center of the Foundation of the Hellenic World from December 9 to December 11, 2022. Renowned scientists from all over the world specializing in early years education attended the conference. Mrs. Tatiana Gouskou, principal of J.M. Carras Kindergarten, Ms. Zoe Lousidou, deputy principal and PYP coordinator, and Mrs. Vasilike Koutsioukis, head of the English Department, made a presentation about STEAM, entitled “STEAM in the Early Years: Inspiring the Problem Solvers of Tomorrow”.


Moreover, the kindergarten opened its doors to the scientific community as the Psychoeducational Department participated in the 3rd Panhellenic School Psychology Conference held in Thessaloniki from November 10 to November 13, 2022. The conference was entitled “Schools Are Changing! Educational Psychology’s Contribution”. All members of the Psychoeducational Department at J.M. Carras Kindergarten, namely Ms. Aggeliki Christodoulou, Mrs. Maria Diamanti, Mrs. Evdoxia Doudoni, as well as the interschool coordinator of the Psychoeducational Department at Athens College, Ms. Maya Alivizatou, participated in the conference by making various presentations about how the interdisciplinary team operates in kindergarten.
